There have been developments like less participation of employees taking place in in the area of public sector unions in the past 50 years. However, the awareness of the successfulness of unions has become higher. The NLRB and other governmental boards have helped unions advance. This is because these bodies have tried to ensure that the workers would always be in a position to obtain their rights and fight against the employers for anything wrong done against the employees by the employers. The lobbyists and some of the decisions made by the government and the judges of the court of law have been viewed as detrimental to unions.
